明治〜大正期の会津の高台漆盆です。

表は朱、外側は深緑。
漆はぼってりと厚めに塗られていて、
くりぬきの彫りは、彫り跡が分かるくらいの素朴な表情です。

凛とした佇まい…という感じではなく、
良い意味で素朴で温かみを感じる高台盆です。

Materials:Wood lacquered
Size　　 :Φ21× H6.5(cm）

This is an Aizu lacquer tray from the Meiji to Taisho period.

The front is vermilion and the outside is deep green.
The lacquer is applied thickly.
The simple carvings are so appealing that the traces of the carvings are visible.

Rather than a dignified appearance...
This lacquer tray is simple and warm in a good way.
