古物 見立て花器　紙縒（こより）道具入れ　

煙管（キセル）入れか、筆入れだったか。
小ぶりな蓋付き道具入れです。

胴体裏に金具が付いているので、
壁掛け花入れにぴったりです。

紙を縒（よ）り合わせ織られ、漆を塗って形作られています。
軽いですがしっかりとした造り。

李朝の紙縒は有名ですが、
日本や東南アジアでも製作されていたようです。
こちらの品はどの地で作られたかは不明ですが、
シンプルで美しい一品です。

It may have been a tobacco pipe case or a brush case.
A small tool holder with a lid.

There is a metal fitting on the underside of the body,
making it perfect as a wall-hanging flower vase.

It is made by twisting and weaving paper, then shaping it with lacquer.
It is light but sturdy.

Joseon dynasty paper twist is famous,
but it seems to have been produced in Japan and Southeast Asia as well.
It is unknown where this item was made,
but it is a simple and beautiful piece.
